Boys & Girls Club of Highlands County has been a trusted resource for families in Avon Park and Sebring since 2000  We run after-school and summer programs for hundreds of young people in grades K through 12, and we're just getting started.

Where We Come From

Boys & Girls Club of Highlands County has served this community for 28 years. We started with a simple belief: that every child in Highlands County deserves a safe place to go after school, a caring adult who believes in them, and programs that give them real skills for life.

Over the decades, we have grown to serve youth at two active club locations, with a third location coming soon in Lake Placid. Our programs have helped hundreds of young people stay in school, build confidence, and plan for futures they can be proud of.

We are a proud member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, one of the nation's most respected youth development organizations, and we are affiliated with the Florida Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs.

We run programs that develop the whole child. Our after-school and summer programs are built on four pillars: academic success, healthy lifestyles, character and citizenship, and 21st-century skills.
